Anders Bach (b. 1989) is a Danish musician, record producer and academic. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Copenhagen, and works with sound in his studio in Amager, Copenhagen.

As a prominent artist and drummer on the Danish music scenes for the past 10+ years, Anders has been focusing on a distinct mix of intense percussion, frenetic electronics and destroyed melodies throughout his career. This has gained him national and international renown as a performer for both high profile popular acts such as MØ, Peter Sommer and Sleep Party People and in the experimental underground with the solo-project GNOM, the duo H E X and his record label Wetwear. As a record producer and mixing engineer he works with a broad range of genres within the experimental and independent, and has been a central part of many celebrated releases in the Danish underground for acts like Selvhenter, SVIN and Luster. Currently, Anders is working on music for performance theatre and video games.

Anders’ writing and research is centered in music and cultural studies. His latest work includes a chapter in “The Bloomsbury Handbook of the Anthropology of Sound” about internet music and musical reproduction, as well as several academic publications within the fields of electronic music, generative systems and community. His current Ph.D. project at the University of Copenhagen revolves around music genres on TikTok and their surrounding communities. The study aims to investigate how the platform controls the conditions for cultural production and aesthetics of underground music.
